    Amazing team of people who are always happy to help, good salary, easy going and happy environment, you get told your shifts a month in advance, there is always someone around to help (i.e a supervisor, duty manager or a colleague that has worked there a long time), overall a great company to work for.

    Minpunten

    The only downside about working for Jet2 is that the contract isn't full time with this job position and it's very hard to become a full-time permanent employee.

    The only advice I would give to management is to tell all passenger service agents to tell all the customers at the check-in desks to keep their own individual boarding passes together with their own passports at the boarding gate because it really helps us PSA's and saves us time when we're boarding the flight.

    good team on the ramp, dispatch and passenger services. dispatch team are a stellar bunch of people

    too many managers and supervisors. too many managers on the ramp who lack basic human interaction and often talk down to staff and gossip about staff members. they had some issue with dispatchers for some reason and were very unprofessional, only two managers knew what they were doing and they were hardly there, they had about 4 useless managers just sitting around wasting time. the pay isn’t the best for the work... you do too and there is no perks. break room is far away from operations office. chances of advancement are slim due to the managers/supervisors basing promotions on personality not skill set, longevity or knowledge, leaving experienced dispatchers with a wealth of knowledge unable to progress in the company. managers kept changing our work pattern, no set work days, you could be working 1 day then off for 4 days, not ideal.

    Reduce the number of managers at Manchester, way too many, especially on the ramp side, or train them some social skills, a manager should never swear at their colleagues, or make fun of staff members openly in front of other staff. Look into increasing pay for all staff (apart from managers) and introduce a better incentive scheme

    Company runs on a bullying culture from the top down. No communication within the business Local management team are absolutely appalling Supervisors and Duty Managers like to gossip about their staff and are extremely unprofessional at times Horrific hours Company works you to the bone and gives you nothing in return Whole brand and company aims (Take Me There values) are a joke You are forced to say “Have a... Lovely Holiday” to every customer you come into contact with and you’ll be punished if you don’t. Constantly reminded that you are easily replaceable Seem to take great pleasure in disciplining staff members, then wonder why morale in the base is so shocking You’ll be at the airport for 12 hours a day, but will mostly work split shifts so you’ll be sat around the airport for 3 hours completely unpaid. In a nutshell, avoid this company like the plague. Use them as a stepping stone to greater things. However, if you want a career in aviation don’t go anywhere near Jet2.com or Jet2holidays as your hopes and aspirations of any future career within aviation will be completely tainted by this awful, money grabbing company that have absolutely no regard for its front line staff.

    - the topic of work can be relatable and fun... who doesn't love working with holidays? - I've met some lovely people.

    - old school mentality: with an all white, middle-age, male directors board, CEOs who are known for throwing furniture around the room if he doesn't get his way and toxic culture it does feel like your stepping back in time. It appears that this legacy will continue when you see the sudden 'flavour of the month' type promotions. Also, as someone who doesn't fit into this criteria, I feel under represented. - poor... benefits: "early leave" on Friday is actually just as a result of working 9hour days throughout the week. There are no options to work from home. Maternity/Paternity is non-existent. No real bonus or share schemes. Mental health awareness is just not a thing and holiday allowance is awful. Even simple things like all social events paid for by the colleagues... - project delivery: when I interviewed there was a lot of talk about change and agile methodologies... I struggle to see this in action. There are too many options elsewhere in Leeds to use these skills. - staff turnover: people have either worked at the company for 10years and are part of the old school mentality or they have been in under a year and looking elsewhere. - office: office lacks cleanliness, far too many people squashed in and no basic cafeteria on site.
