Flexibility is a huge plus. Great pay and benefits but the best is providing a service to your community. The people we work with are amazing. Our colleagues are inspiring and the organization has been around for 70+ years. Best job I have ever had.

Location is a bit of a commute for me. Working remotely some days, plus the flexibility on hours makes up for it though.

Great mission, supports those in need, and is overall rewarding/meaningful work. Retirement matching is great.

Layoffs. I was laid off exactly when my hiring bonus was supposed to be paid out. (I did get the bonus, but timing was questionable.) In some departments, there is practically no training and hardly any communication whatsoever. Lack of feedback on job performance. PTO not comparable to other non-profits. They typically do not allow for unpaid time off (only allowed for long-term illnesses and "extreme circumstances").
