Sometimes they feed you? The paid job trial is really helpful. Safety is pretty important. It pays if you have nothing else.

I did a job trial and it was all a very minimal look into the things I'd be doing. When I began training, it was incredibly inconsistent, they had certain employees in positions that were vetted into their roles based on what they did best. I was trained for about 7 different roles poorly. Some of the issues were just language barriers and the other half was that speed was heavily valued before accuracy and technique, if I was slow at a new task, it would be about 2 days before I was asked why I wasn't faster and then I would be moved to a new role to learn. I even had leadership tell me that because every partner is different they can't guarantee accurate training. The other issue, they only give you 5 days for PTO, that is ONLY the requirement of the state of Illinois, if they could give you none they would. There is no tolerance for taking off for illness and you may be mocked for needing recovery days, there were a lot of contagious people working all the time - despite their safety policy stating the workplace should be free of illness, injury and hazards, Cinta's has an unspoken Don't Ask Don't Tell policy. There were several ableist remarks that came from my direct supervisor, including questioning why I wasn't on disability? Accountability is a top priority here UNLESS you are a senior or favored employee, in order to become favored you'll have to work off the clock and work through your lunch...forced positivity in the face of abuse is in fact the culture....high turnover, micro management, unorganized, LOW starting rate. My site had roaches. Not all garments being re-used were washed. Overtime rates are not included and extra hours are rarely offered.
