Pluspunten
- Work: There is a never-ending pool of interesting/challenging projects which are super fun to work on. Can learn a lot in a short period of time. Work-life balance is great; I do not think I have ever taken work home in all the years I have been here. Overall excellent job-satisfaction. - Colleagues: An extraordinarily smart, friendly, and dependable set of people who create a great work environment. Can count on them both at work and outside. - Owners: Very knowledgeable, accessible, and down-to-earth. For example, one of the owners saw my car stuck on the curbside buried in snow. They helped dig the snow and tow my car without me even asking. - Pay: Not the highest in the industry but much higher than the industry average. I like to look at the metric Job-satisfaction/pay which I think might be the highest in the CFD industry. - Offices: Everyone gets his/her private office. There is an open door office culture, but you can always close the door in times you are looking for that laser focus. Internationals: The company is pretty great when it comes to sponsoring international talent. They put a lot of effort into helping employees get their H1B and if H1B is picked in the lottery, there are opportunities to work in Europe/India offices. - Future: Company finances seem pretty strong. The client base is loyal and growing. Current resources are being put in the right direction. The future appears strong.
Minpunten
- Your degree plays a role in your starting salary which is fair, but in the longer term, the company should put more emphasis on how much value one is creating regardless of their background/degree when compensating them. - All managers in the company are super talented and respectful but are engineers at heart. Not all of them make a great team leader. This makes it difficult for some team members to set a clear career path and stay motivated.
