Minpunten
- They are advertised as a “marketing” job but this is all a lie - They lie about the initial job role and don’t tell you what it is specifically during the interview. They describe it as “field work” but don’t actually say even when asked. - The job is just going door to door to people’s houses to do sales which is never explicitly said until you start work. - There is no base pay, it is 100% commission. This is really bad as you have to travel all around to peoples homes which is expensive in London so without even a base pay it’s not guaranteed that you’ll be able to afford it and you may end up losing money. Also, even if you’ve been out for 12 hours trying to make sales and failed to make any, you would not be paid anything. - They promise promotions to leadership in 2 weeks or less which is ridiculous because how can someone brand new to the job become a leader in 2 weeks?? This means you’re being lead & trained by inexperienced people. - They expect you to arrive at work from 9am and they day will end at 9-10pm, all this time spent in the “field” going door to door to strangers houses for 5 or sometimes even 6 days a week. - There’s no real training about how to even do the job, no COVID 19 precautions (no masks or social distancing) and there’s no training about how to keep safe when interacting with strangers. - They expect you to invite yourself into peoples houses without proper safety training. When I raised this issue with them they told me not to worry as it is completely safe and only gave me advice about how to make sales. - The contract makes you self employed and clearly they do this to avoid paying taxes on employees which I found very dodgy. - The interview process is far too quick. They contacted saying they had been passed my CV and gave me the opportunity to apply. First a one way interview next there was 2 two interviews over zoom. This all took place in the space of 3 days. - They make you dress very professionally just to have the door slammed in your face 200 times a day - They usually target young people such as recent uni graduates or undergrads. - They overwork staff and talk down about individuals that don’t make targets - No Holliday pay, pension scheme or company benefits. - They pretend to care about the staff but they only care about sales. - The company as a whole is just a massive scam and you will end up wasting a lot of your time and energy working there.
