Minpunten
Detailed experience of 14 months at JK Technosoft Bangalore office: I was recruited from an IIM(don't want to disclose which IIM) as a Senior Executive - Business Strategy. As soon as I joined the company, from the very first day I was assigned to a VP level person who used to deal with SAP there. I expected that the person would make me understand what is is their capability, strategy and vision about the SAP business. But instead got no valuable inputs. 1. Most of the Senior Management people at JKT doesn't know how to deal with fresh MBA graduates, in fact to say they don't even clear vision about what they are doing at least in the company 2. CEO of the company changes every now and then, because of that all the senior leadership undergoes major restructuring once in every 3 to 4 years which makes the company internal environment always uncertain 3. If you are impressed at the fact that JK Technosoft is the part of JK group which is a very large and reputed conglomerate in India, then let me explain JK Technososft is actually kind of a pet project run by a person in the singhania family. The company was established in 1994 and still after 25 years it is struggling to itself a proper Tier 2 IT company in India , because none actually cares for its growth, all they want is to just get this company running. Sometimes even other groups of JK group doesn't offer projects to JK Technosoft which clearly explains it's reputation inside JK group. 4. Within 3 months of my joining, the person who recruited me has changed the company, and the CEO left the company in 6 months. SO there is literally no one in the company who knows why I have been recruited. 4. As JKT is a family owned business, all the VP's/Senior VP's/CXO's and even CEO are scared of the one person who owns the group. 5. Especially the Leadership is always scared of their own jobs and all their effort goes into saving their jobs by playing some gimmicks in every management review meetings. 6. As a person from IIM, all you get to do is to help these scared leadership with some good ppt's which they can show in front of CEO and Chairman to save their jobs. 7. There is no concept of Professional development at all, no one would even talk about that. We do not get any guidance/help from internal HR's in terms of professional development 8. And mainly, do not at all expect that the culture at JKT would be comparable to any other IT companies like team lunches/project outing/bay games etc. There is nothing like that. Because Projects here don't get any budget from the senior management to spend on any of these activities. What i mean to say is that there is no fun at all working here. 10. These people go to Tier 1 MBA colleges for placements and tell them they will give strategy roles and all, but what they make you do finally in the company is inside sales, sales and executive assistant to VP's. 10. Finally, if you are joining from any Tier 1 MBA collage in India, please consider other companies before you join this or at least talk to others who have joined the company before. Thanks and All the best.
