Salaries. Base pay is lower than some larger companies. The trade-off is clear: you gain outsized opportunities for impact and growth in exchange for below-market compensation. Fast pace. The company moves quickly, and processes evolve often. For some, this can feel unstable, but for others it’s energizing and exciting.

Working directly with students and families was the only positive part of this experience. Many of the students were motivated, and the tutoring itself was rewarding.

My account was suddenly paused for “performance reasons” with no prior warning, no feedback, and no evidence provided. I had consistently accepted all client assignments, followed up after trial sessions, and received positive feedback from parents who renewed tutoring packages. Despite this, I was informed that I could no longer receive new students — and the decision was labeled “final.” There is zero transparency or accountability in how tutor performance is evaluated. Communication from management is one-sided, and tutors are not given a fair chance to respond or clarify before being removed. It gives the impression that decisions are made arbitrarily, with little regard for the actual quality of teaching or student outcomes. The platform promotes professionalism and “commitment to development,” yet fails to show the same professionalism toward its tutors.
