Pluspunten

For the area, Car-Freshner is an employer with some opportunities that locals like. While substandard, they do offer a decent health coverage plan for the region.

Minpunten

Nepotism is highly rampant and senior management is filled with ignorant individuals with little to know real world experience in management skills or knowledge of the industry. They think they are leaders in the industry, when in fact they are stupid (honestly). In spite of themselves, they seem to maintain afloat. The current owner (Ronald Samman) is very rude and overbearing, and under-hands operations of really talented employees. Car-Freshner as a culture is absolutely abusive and hopes to keep all employees "dumbed-down" so that anyone with any sense about business or technology are squashed, since that would mean a rebellion in the midst of the organization. Mention the word "knowledge" "leadership" or "ISO" and you will certainty be fired or let "go".

Everyone was very welcoming and I felt at home almost immediately. It was a great place to work! They did a lot of extra things for the employees, like luncheons, company picnic, holiday luncheons, Halloween festivities, etc

Minpunten

Don't really have any cons. I left for personal family obligations or I would still be working there.

Within IT, leadership operates with an extremely centralized and control-heavy management style. Independent thinking is not encouraged in practice, even if it is stated otherwise. Experienced hires may find themselves micromanaged on minor details while larger strategic concerns go unaddressed. Communication expectations can shift quickly without clear documentation or alignment. Autonomy is limited, and decisions tend to funnel through a single authority, reducing collaboration and slowing execution. Professionals who value ownership, trust, and strategic thinking may find the environment restrictive. While the company presents itself as progressive and innovative, the internal IT culture does not consistently support empowered technical leadership or forward-thinking initiatives.
