I have no positive words for the individuals managing this company. This is a case study of how not to run an acquisition.
Minpunten
I worked at Beatport as a developer when they were acquired by SFX Entertainment in 2013. They assured us everything was going to be awesome and there was good energy for a while. Then they laid off 75% of our development team a few weeks before Christmas and their fourth quarter financial reports. They put some 28 year old guy from their New York office in charge of us and gave him a Vice President title. They brought in some remote contractors to replace all of the experienced guys they laid off and expected the few of us left over to maintain the old code base while these guys would rebuild the website in a few months.
