Maybe it's the company culture, but my manager does not manage in a strong and constructive manner..
Yearly "self-assessment" activity is a joke. No opportunity to voice
accomplishments and requests.
High performers take pride in their work and want to show it off hopefully translating
into recognition and compensation. Low performers need to hear constructive
criticism to improve and become better contributors.
