I was excited to work here, but after my experience I feel like I will never have a worst experience. I feel burned out used and that they are totally taking advantage of willing staff for the greater good. The hours- you are expected to work way over the hours that are sustainable or realistic. During the We Day Season, even if it is not your department you are expected to work weekends and late evenings. The shifts are always changing. This makes it impossible to have a life outside the organization. Get ready to miss weekends with your family,many dinner dates and sleep. Many people get sick after 6 months of non stop hours. Pay- it is lower than the poverty line. They haven't changed their salaries since 2011. After taxes as a first year, you make 20.000 a year. The poverty line in Ontario as a single person is 23.000 a year. There is absolutely no bonus or extra time off. It's as much slavery in Canada as it would be in China. Cult - if you don't believe in the ideology, you will probably get fired for not being a culture fit. Even after a year of working there. Benefit package- it's the bare minimum and doesn't cover much. Management- no room for feedback. Often under qualified for their position.

Pluspunten

Me to We gives incredible opportunities to young employees. It's true that many staff come on without years and years of experience, but that's what makes it good. It means that sometimes you realize too late how things could have been done better, but the fact that you are given the permission to try is kind of amazing. People who are willing to work hard, work on communication, and not expect perfection are going to succeed here.

Minpunten

Me to We is tied to Free The Children, a very reactive organization due to the nature of charity work, and this means Me to We often has to be reactive. That being said, leadership has done an incredible job managing this and ensuring the company grows in a secure way.
