      People are great company has good standards

      Minpunten

      Hard to balance work life ratio, don't get paid for working mandatory coverage . Work on24/7 schedule including holidays. Have to be outside on the coldest and hottest days of year. Shutdowns can last up to 60+ days and get little to no time off during that time.

Work life balance is important to Nutrien, and we strongly encourage employees to use all their vacation every year, though we recognize busy seasons can be a tough time to book holidays. Employees are encouraged to work with their supervisors to ensure they’re getting the time they need, and that there is a focus on safety and your mental and physical wellbeing.       Collaborative but individual work too. A lot of traveling to different sites

      For the area, the pay is decent.

      Minpunten

      Management that does not care about the people. No flexibility in working anywhere other than the plant. Outsiders hired before qualified employees. Another merger/selling on the horizon - memo sent out to employees and then they were told it would not happen in 2026. Big changes happen every year such as benefits reduced, people being moved from one position to the other, employees getting fired after one small mistake instead of a warning as it used to be, corporate people leaving/getting fired.
