High turnover in analytical department during my time

PCI is a small, privately held company where everyones contribution is recognized and has a dynamic and challenging environment. Even as the company has completely changed it's business model over last 3 years (and with a tough economy) the company has given out raises, bonuses, and/or retirement contributions three years in a row. Some years not all three and it all depends on on the company's annual performance. Every other year HR surveys all employee's, job titles and job dscriptions and sets ranges for compensation based on national and local statistics. Last year several employees recieved mid year bumps if thier pay was not in the right range. It's a great place to get a lot of real world experience. You can also get lot's of responsibility much sooner than you can typically get at larger firms especially early in your career. It has a performance driven culture so your never limited by what degree you have or dont have, where your from, or where you went to school. Senior Management is committed to investing in the company, in equipment, capabilities and in the people. The company is always looking to hire and thus upgrade the organization so it is continously recruiting. With all the layoffs in the Pharma industry there are few firms that bring in new people year over year. Voluntary turnover is actually quite low and is below industry norms.

Not an environment for everyone. Projects and customer demands are constantly changing so management has to adjust direction often. However, that's the nature of the contract manufacturing businesss.
