Pluspunten
There are many opportunities to move up in the company. I started off as regular staff on minimum wage and moved up to management in less than a year. The environment is always fun and it's a great way to meet new people. With new movies coming out every week, you never get too bored with the same routine. A major plus is the employee privileges for free movies for yourself and guests.
Minpunten
The pay is not that great. No matter who you are, if you start on staff you're going to start out on minimum wage. You do get employee evaluations on your 3 month, 6 month, and then every year, but the raise isn't very noticeable. Depending on what city you're in, as staff you may not even get 10 hours a week. As one of the slower theaters, there aren't many hours to be given. Moving onto an assistant manager I got paid $9.00 an hour with somewhere between 36 - 40 hours every week, which made up for my time working as staff. I did have to beg for my annual evaluation (the only way to get a raise) and I still never got it before I left.
