Minpunten
There is a heavy, top-down culture of micro-management at Rockpool. This is led by the CEO, who despite running the company for almost 20 years, is still the acting Product Manager for both development teams in the company, with an emphasis on minutely managing every task and fixating on strict timescales. If a task overruns for whatever reason, Daily Stand-up is used as a medium to name and shame in front of the whole team. This causes a lot of fear and discontent in the team, as well as a healthy churn of staff.
The CEO is sadly an incompetent manager who despite his best efforts to control every aspect in the company, is seeing numerous errors and struggles. There is a lack of critical documentation and automation for many processes in the company, and many of the ways of working are antiquated. Staff are often so fixated on completing tasks within strict deadlines, that they miss the big picture of how to improve processes and innovate. Due to this, critical errors have slipped through in to production which have had a huge impact on the team and staff.
The CEO would also make constant threats to staff, frequently stating "If you don't follow this, there will be consequences". The company seems to be struggling with retaining contracts and seeing success in other ventures, so I can only presume it is the CEO venting his frustration on to staff.
