As the last review states: "Many poor choices made years ago are causing Signal to make difficult decisions. Signal are now paying for past mistakes." This at least partially refers to the fact that Signal have made multiple rounds of redundancies within the last 12 months, of which, I was included within the last round. I was made redundant on the last day of my six month new starter probation period (late in the afternoon, so technically less than a working day's notice). There was absolutely no forewarning from the business that redundancies were even upcoming, let alone that there was a risk I would be directly affected. To make matters worse, I was on holiday and the redundancy was conducted via a short phonecall from HR. If you do join the business, my advice is that you get the business to make CRYSTAL clear your standing and potential risks of redundancy throughout your probation period to avoid the risk of this happening to you.
