      There are some really pleasant people at this company. The open source mission is a good one.

      Minpunten

      This company miraculously combines the worst aspects of a startup (volatility, lack of direction, high turnover, low salaries) with the worst aspects of a large company (politics, Balkanization, cronyism, waste). The early employees who built the company are treated like an underclass. The CEO is a bright and conscientious person, but the rest of upper management is inept. It's been a career low point.

      Pluspunten

      The Stability engineering department comprises a healthy mix of enthusiastic open-source community developers and seasoned experts from major tech firms. As we transition from a startup, everyone shares responsibility for the company's success. Our work is fully remote, but communication is active and we have easy access to influence upper management. Support and collaboration continue to strengthen. Compensation and benefits are very competitive.

      Minpunten

      There is a history of less collaboration (1 project per engineer), but this is changing rapidly as work becomes much more team-based.

      - Leadership feels ego-driven and incapable of making decisions - Base and equity comp is under market value, one more than the other - Culture of bias and favoritism at the leadership level - High performers go under recognized and rewarded
