You can game the system by only working part time, being up front with your hours of availability and NEVER covering or staying late. Get a year under your belt and then go work somewhere else that pays better. If you have no medical admin experience they will likely still hire you. The majority of the doctors are very knowledgeable and genuinely care about patients. Dress code is fairly lax and they don't care if you have most piercings/non-natural colored hair.

Management is either micromanaging or completely hands off. Single Staffed more often than not. No traditional insurance benefits. Expect the workload to be 2 to 3 times higher the amount of pay. Doctors and upper management have unrealistic expectations of the amount of time tasks take, and expect you to do a lot of their work for them with no additional compensation. You will be multitasking your entire shift, and you cannot concentrate on one task ever. No 15 min breaks but there is an hour lunch. You will work 9 to 10 hours every shift, even though they tell you is it only 8 per shift. They are quick to promote but it's only because their turnover rate is extraordinarily high.
