Great company owned by three doctors who truly cared about their staff as well as their business. Staffers were treated with respect as adults and given professional courtesy. Benefits were good and hours while subject to change based on doctor coverage were good as well. 401k, 50% paid health ins, discounts on exams and materials, vacation and personal paid time off as well as 6 holidays per year. Management was available when needed and addressed concerns immediately. I would give them 5 stars except that they worked with a partner company that treated people poorly and sometimes they were pushed by that company to make bad decisions. University Optical owners retired and sold their hard assets to University Eye Specialists Optical. This is the company that treats their own staff members poorly and has a "my way or hard way" approach to staffing. While the jury is still out on whether the change will be positive or negative, all staff members are holding their breathe. Hopefully management will listen to the direction of the front line staff and not alienate employees.
