Pluspunten
Ability to work remotely, although - as a part of The New York Times - this is not a remote-first experience.
Minpunten
There are major diversity issues at Wirecutter. While the company hires women and people of color, in my time there, the vast majority of them left. Its sad when you notice that there is a major retention issue and then look a little deeper and realize it's all non-(white men). Management is very aware of the problem and does nothing other than shift the non-(white men) around onto different teams when they say something (thus also making it really difficult for them to advance because they never stay in the same problem space like their white male counterparts). There is no clarity around career ladders and compensation is wildly variable. There is a constant culture of "everythings burning".
