      Sollicitatiegesprek

I applied here twice - once, back in October, and more recently in February. I gather that they never actually got around to hiring in October, since it was still a "new role" in February. The hiring manager sent a mass email saying, "We do insurance different, and so we do interviews different too!" From there, you were asked to watch 3 videos about their business, fill out a very long (took about an hour) "quiz" full of essay questions, and finally, you were asked to do a presentation. Unfortunately, the presentation required you to build training for them on an insurance product they were offering. Then, once you were done building training for them, you had to film yourself presenting that training. So it seemed like an easy way for them to get their entire curriculum built without ever hiring anyone to do it. Not surprisingly, I still see this role advertised. So, this company: - Wants you to do a significant amount of work...before you even have a phone interview - Wants you to spend money and at least 5-10 hours of time on the interview before you even talk to a recruiter - According to their website, has exactly 1 woman working at it, compared to the 20 men. Making your applicants do 10+ hours of work instead of reviewing their qualifications and doing phone interviews is just laziness. And I don't want to work at a lazy company, and I sure don't want to trust my homeowners insurance to a lazy company. Run away. Run far, far away.

      Vraag 1

Create a Google Slides training presentation to train a team of new hires on the TX Homeowner insurance product. Then, create a video of yourself presenting your slides as if you were doing a new hire training and submit a link to both.

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it. We realize we were asking a bit more from our interviewees before they had a chance to meet with us, we've updated our interviewing process to have more conversation time and less pre-interview work.
