Seek mandate and support from C-suite level to explore unfamiliar and seemingly unrelated paths for researching and developing new product possibilities. Instill a mentality of "what if?". Get 3D early in the process using rapid prototyping. Identify experienced and trustworthy (maintain confidentiality) end users and bring them into the 3D physical design process early and encourage them to feel part of the creative process. Minder

Answered honestly and gave details in my research that promoted the choices I made design wise. Minder
There wasn't a specific question that was difficult. The process felt thorough due to the number of people involved and the diversity of backgrounds. They took the materials I presented and asked for clear rationale for each decision made.

Yes, having previously worked for a garden accessories company just outside of Atlanta, I had been part of the team to present at The Home Depot several times. Minder
The study case was inappropriate, tasks that are by itself can easily be long term projects and normally it would require months of work to be properly done. It was requested 3 main activities, one was analytical, second was execution and third was a deep research.

I believe such study cases are not a fair activity to be proposed for Senior candidates, designers already put long effort in building their portfolio for that purpose and those activities request a lot of (free) work and time from the candidate that has no benefit from it. I proposed that I could arrange a max of 5 hours for the activity (which was not close to be enough for the activity requested), they said I should do what I could in the time I had available and in the end I got the feedback that my study case didn't blow their mind. Overall the impression of the company was great, people were very nice and professional, they gave a great impression and seemed to have good experience and knowledge on their fields. Minder

I said both 50/50 because I like to keep my portfolio as diverse as I can.
