Last week, students from Washington Union High School's Regional Occupational Program (ROP) made a meaningful impact by delivering 100 backpacks to Community Regional. These backpacks will be given to unhoused patients being discharged from the emergency department, filled with essential items such as hygiene kits, clothing, non-perishable food, emergency blankets, and more! A huge thank you to WUHS Health Institute students for their incredible act of kindness.

To honor Dr. Krishnakumar (Krishna) Rajani’s extraordinary legacy and his decades of unwavering dedication to the tiniest patients in the Central Valley, we are proud to announce that the Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) at both Community Regional and Clovis Community will now bear the name "Rajani Family NICU." Throughout his career, Dr. Rajani has exemplified the highest standard of care. His visionary leadership not only transformed vital programs but also recognized the critical need for a place in the Valley where mothers and premature infants could remain together—without the burden of leaving the area. Congratulations to Dr. Rajani and his family on this well-deserved recognition! 👏
