Regional Finance Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

The Regional Finance Manager will lead, secure, and develop accounting and reporting for Region North America.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for handling finance matters within the region, in close cooperation with group headquarters
• Secure and improve:
• adherence to laws rules and policies
• quality and efficiency in figures and processes
• sales and profitability, supporting from a finance perspective

• Responsible for daily finance tasks, monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing
• Reconciliate and take ownership of the balance sheet, including accruals and provisions
• Internal reporting to group consolidation, including inter-company transactions
• Coordination of budgeting and forecasting for the region
• Actively participate in process improvements and credit matters, including collection
• External reporting to auditors and authorities
• Monitor and handle cash position and secure bank payments according to policies
• Tax declaration and Sales tax issues
• Manage the local Finance team
• Responsible for budget for own department/cost center

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• University degree in Finance with 6-10 years of relevant experience
• Strong local knowledge of accounting
• Experience in group accounting. Knowledge of IFRS is a plus
• Knowledge of taxes and/or the ability to work with tax experts
• Effective leadership skills
• Worked in an international environment
• Excellent communication skills and able to collaborate with colleagues within the region and world-wide
• High proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:

• CPA certification preferred (or CPA candidates)
