Please let there be no misunderstanding: on a personal level, colleagues at the Distribution Center work hard and do their best every day. However, regardless of this positive element, the approach from global leadership is not in line with what one could expect from a professional and respectful organization.
There is, unfortunately, a pattern of micro-management and a tendency to interfere with local initiatives without offering real support. Decisions are often made elsewhere, while those most directly impacted are excluded from the process. This has created not only misalignment, but also frustration and disengagement.
The fact that one raises concerns does not mean one needs to be lectured, yet this happens frequently. Unprofessional behaviors — dismissive comments, ignoring contributions, or excluding certain team members from key projects — cannot be explained away as “just a different style.” They reflect a culture that does not empower but rather restricts.
Long story short: ownership is not the same as control, and respect cannot be replaced by process. Something needs to change if the organization truly wishes to align words with actions.
