Looks great on the outside, but toxic on the inside.
Pluspunten
Flora has some great people working for them: smart, ambitious and hardworking. The new offices in Amsterdam and Wageningen are great and Amsterdam is especially easy to get to by public transport. The Flora (Upfield) brand is well known in the industry and looks good on your CV.
Minpunten
Flora is owned by KKR, which should say enough. Work/life balance is non existent, burnouts are on the rise and the predominantly male, white senior management doesn't care that turnover is so high. There's no interest in developing their employees (especially if you're woman with children), salaries remain static. The atmosphere in the Amsterdam office is depressing, it might look great on the outside but it's toxic on the inside. They have some really talented people and teams working for them, but they fail to invest and develop them, instead choosing to promote the unqualified 'yes' people, making the good people leave. It wasn't like this always, prior to Covid Flora had a great culture while based in Rotterdam, it had a start up mentality where you could get things done quickly and they took great care of their employees, Now they offer you yoga classes during your lunchbreak.
