-The salary is extremely low. They pay barely above a living wage. Employees ask for adjustment to combat inflation and nothing. Lack of respect for high living expenses yet company is making huge money with execs having large pay. -Collegues leave often due to very little growth and pay which creates quite some issues for other junior collegues who have to pick up the work. This means more work, high churn and unhappy clients. -Work nights and weekends often with no pay and no TOIL, even if supposedly exists. Management does not understand that people are not happy. -Supervisors will do their best to not promote you or pay you more. Supervisors will micromanaging your time as they have their bosses to impress. Little respect. -They hire people in Turkey and Portugal as they can pay them much less. Company is very cheap. -HR did not respond to many emails. When they respond it is weeks or months later. -They do not pay for you to go into the share space since they say is optional. Forcing us to pay many euro to go to work together, even though they say they want colloboration. -Says they are inclusive but many execs are white men. Recent big execs are men, women voices are sometimes stopped.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I can tell that you have put a lot of thought into this. First, I am glad that you enjoy the people that you work with and the flexibility that you have. The people are the best part of our company. That is why I am so disappointed to read this. I understand how important compensation is to our employees. We do keep a close eye on our salaries, especially in the current inflationary environment. I can assure you that the managers and supervisors in this organization have no incentive to avoid promotions or pay increases, and we encourage both of those things for our employees who perform well. Traditionally, somewhere between a quarter and a third of our employees experience a promotion or job change each year, which is wholly separate from those who receive performance based merit increases. Our services teams, in particular, have a very well defined career path that allows for quick progression through the organization which can result in salaries rising quite rapidly. Sovos changes quickly, and often, especially in the past two years. I acknowledge that has led to some teams being busier than others. We have made a point to mention TOIL at our quarterly townhalls, but I will make sure to follow up with all managers and make sure that it is being communicated appropriately. I also want to address your comments around diversity. Although we have hired some Executives recently who are male, a good portion of our Executive team, as well as a large number of our senior leaders are female. In the VAT compliance organization, for instance, the fast majority of our managers identify as female. We care very much about having equal representation for all underrepresented groups at Sovos. Finally, we have grown tremendously both organically and, as you mention, as a result of acquisition. It feels like many of the changes that you have witnessed are those that haven’t been explained well, and have caused some incorrect assumptions about our motivations. I would hate for you to continue to feel that way and I would love to go through each of your questions in more detail. Minpunten

- No "real" possibilities to grow. On paper they say that many people grow each year but in practice this is just a job change or title change but not much difference in terms of responsibilities - The company is very cheap, salaries are low compared to other IT companies. This is also the reason why employees leave all the time. - Employee turnover also leads to unhappy customers and to churn, management is wondering every quarter why the churn is so high but not understanding or wanting to understand that this comes due to experienced and good people leaving every month. - HR is not your friend. - Offices permanently closed in some locations so only working from home although a flex office might be coming in the future

Thank you for the feedback. So much of what you say here resonates with me. We are an interesting business in a rapidly growing industry. We do have great employees all over the globe. I agree with all of that! I am a little bit confused about your comments about no “real” possibilities to grow. You highlighted that there are ample opportunities to learn, and that many employees experience job changes and title changes. Promotions and job changes are certainly career development. You mention how rapidly our business is growing – being an industry leader in a fast-growing, dynamic industry creates incredible opportunity for all of our employees. Whether it be title changes, promotions or moves into different areas of the business. They all happen at Sovos, and we will continue to be proud of the culture of development we foster. You also mentioned that some office locations have moved to fully remote working. Over the past two years we have been working to accommodate the changing needs of our global workforce, while keeping their health, safety and wellbeing our absolute priority. While some of our offices have shifted, we are always evaluating what best serves our workforce. Collaboration is, and always has been, one of our core values, and we are committed to creating work environments and cultures that help employees thrive no matter where or how they work.
