Pluspunten
- Pay can be decent - Your coworkers are generally great people with positive attitudes - Middle management seems to care a lot about the product, the org and your growth.
Minpunten
- After working in the industry for nearly 15 years I have never seen a company who’s upper management is as insanely disconnected from their product, employees and needs of their customers as I have during my year of employment at Waitr/ASAP. - The upper management (and a few individuals in the middle management work group) exist in an echo chamber of terribly misguided and ill-informed decisions. Every decision they make is very obviously made to protect their own paycheck and not the company, product or customers. - You will NOT feel listened to in any regard while working at Waitr/ASAP. Your suggestions, reasoning, ideas, ingenuity, and passion will all be thrown to the wayside. Nothing makes it past middle management since senior management won’t listen to any thing that didn’t originate in their echo chamber. - Your potential for growth, which middle management really tries hard to get for you, will likely be squashed. The only raises you should expect are annual cost of living raises. - Expect to be laid off after no more than 1 year of employment, with a more realistic duration sitting around 6 months. Nearly every person I worked with while employed there was laid off during my year of employment. - The company is financially failing. To the point where they’re very nearly going to be delisted from the NASDAQ, evident in their dwindling stock value. I fully expect them to file for bankruptcy within the next year. After, of course, all of the upper management liquidates their holdings.
