ASML frequently shows itself to have outgrown its systems and governance. I can't speak for other departments, as manufacturing seems mostly divorced from everything else, but in the factories your work and, even more, career is constantly haunted by bosses and systems from when this was a "relatively obscure dutch company" and haven't kept up with the fact this is now, supposedly, a modern company.
