Pluspunten
Better pay but then again you’re working longer hours and less annual leave.
Minpunten
Things started off well during my interview and I was asked if I saw the value of working there. Everyone would have probably said yes because of wanting to land the job. After I started working the AVRillo, it started to get a bit unconventional to say the least. We were sent emails everyday stating how other firms were feeling the effect of the market and making redundancies and going bust (a bit hypocritical for a company that has a no gossip policy in the contract) and said that they have a great foothold on the market and in a strong position so won’t be making any redundancies. You have to ask yourself, if a company is in such a strong position, would they really be asking conveyancers to cold call estate agents to generate business and then fire staff because there clearly isn’t much work coming in. If you’re attracted by the salary, this is a trap. The negative reviews are 100% true and these are real life experiences. In every overly long and unnecessary meetings, we were reminded by the owners that they were a Top 100 firm and I haven’t heard anyone else use that statement as much. One of the positive reviews left on here uses the same statement so it just makes you wonder who left that review. Anyone who has an interview scheduled with this firm, I’d recommend that you take the negative reviews into account but look at what the positive review say and the type of language used so you can judge for yourself.
