Pluspunten
The company's mission of supporting USG mission overseas and dedication to hiring military veterans is truly admirable and is one of the reasons that the company is so great. The main facility in Moyock, NC and the instructors and support staff are a delight to work with and are extremely helpful when you require assistance. The people on the business development side in Reston are really terrific people to work with. The capture managers and VPs of Business Development serve as terrific mentors and leaders that have a vested interest in the well being of their employees.

TERRIBLE Senior Management. While the VPs and below are great, they must suffer the burden of having their hands tied by an incompetent C Suite Management for Constellis (Primary holding company that ACADEMI falls under) is some of the worst that I have ever seen during my working career. It truly seems that they aren't making bad decisions, they are making no decisions. For the better part year, ACADEMI and Triple Canopy (sister company under Constellis holdings) have been attempting to adapt to the merger. Unfortunately, senior level management has done a terrible job in trying to bring together the two the companies. There is no sense that they care or are capable of bringing together the culture or capabilities of the two companies. Even when it was determined what each company's primary source of revenue, senior management would frequently and arbitrarily give the work to the one of the sister company's (usually TC). It is understandable that mergers take time to work through and the issues that are discussed here will not be resolved overnight, but little progress has been made over the past year. Most unfortunate of all is the sense that preferential treatment is given to Triple Canopy and close friends of the high level management to extent that it approaches blatant nepotism. These issues not only affect the company on a macro scale, but also on the individual level in the form of delayed bonuses, delayed or cancelled pay raises and promotions, and non nonsensical hiring practices. For all of the great people that work here, until there is either a new management approach or new management, it is unlikely that the litany of issues affecting this company will be resolved.
