The industry is changing very fast, and while most big companies are cutting jobs, Acuity seems to be trying very hard to make changes thoughtfully. There has been an expansion in leadership, creating opportunities and prepping for generational change. Leaders seem to be trying to balance the comfort levels of long term employees with new additions.

There is a tension between the way things have always been done and the need to innovate and stay competitive. Both perspectives are necessary but don’t always coexist well.

The same people are moving up the ladder fast and living the dream while everyone else gets walked all over. - Some managers are now seeking "demotions" because of the changing expectations and culture. Demotions by choice are not usually allowed here. - A lot more people "choosing to retire early" over the last few years. It used to be hard to get people to retire.
