Pluspunten
Compensation is okay and there is still some strong professionals left, despite all efforts from the management.
Minpunten
Terrible management, incompetent IT stuff, unpaid 24x7 support, unpaid overtime I spent 5 years as an IT engineer in this company. In last September one of IT directors gathered our team in one room and declared that “We’re working 24x7, who does not agree - can leave the company”. So I left. Not a single manager I was working with thru these years had asked me why am I leaving. In fact, they did not have any reaction at all. I have never felt so humiliated in my whole career - to spend 5 years of my life working hard for the company and to have no reaction to the resignation letter at all is frustrating. Terrible management - IT heads care about their careers only and absolutely incompetent both as managers and as IT professionals. All they care about is political games and doing their best not to take a responsibility for any decision. Relationships are toxic. A regional IT head sent me a hysterical email once full of sentences in caps, claiming that I am his asset and his soldier and so on. It was a really rude answer to my request for ongoing project details. I have never got the details, and that happened all the time with each and every project in his responsibility. I am still not sure what he was actually doing, as I have never had any help from him during all these years. As to my knowledge, other teams are sharing the same experience. The funniest thing was to learn that I am reporting directly to him from other team members - he did not even bother to tell me about the reporting change. IT management stuff is overblown, they are adding more and more director and senior management positions. These managers, being interviewed and hired by incompetent managers are in turn hiring incompetent engineers, and this is obviously a vicious circle. 24x7 - they are introducing 24x7 follow-the-sun support that is missing the compensation part in it. They literally say - you have to be accessible 24x7 and be having your laptop with you wherever you go. There are no processes, at all. A lot of micromanagement and peer-to-peer relationships. There used to be strong teams when I just joined, but it was ruined by the management through the years and now it is a bunch of separated groups of people working without any centralized supervision or a plan.
