Interview Experience: I applied via email and got an interview the next morning. The process began with a 10-minute cultural fit and English proficiency assessment with the CEO. He took the time to explain what AGT does, his vision for the company, and outlined my potential role, emphasizing that there would be plenty of opportunities for growth, both in skills and career, for those who put in the effort. Next, two Senior Software Engineers conducted the technical interview. They presented medium-difficulty coding challenges and asked me to explain my approach instead of coding it out. They liked my solution, and when prompted to optimize it further, I provided an improved solution, which they appreciated. Afterward, the second Senior SWE asked about software licensing for AI/ML and why I prefer FastAPI over other frameworks, and he was pleased with my responses. Following the technical interview, I received an email from the CEO inviting me to a 1:1 session. We discussed company policies, benefits, and salary. Negotiation was straightforward, as the management understood the market and were fair and receptive to my requests. Workplace Culture: Before my start date, I faced an unexpected issue—a country-wide internet outage, which prevented me from joining remotely. Despite the delay, AGT’s management was incredibly understanding. They checked in on our well-being and were patient throughout the disruption, which made me feel genuinely valued as an employee. Since joining AGT, I’ve experienced a unique and supportive environment. The management team, including the CEO, COO, and CFO, is approachable, open to hearing employee concerns, and fosters an environment where sharing issues or challenges is encouraged. From day one, they made it clear that as a startup, we’re all growing together, experimenting, and finding what works best for everyone involved. Overall, the energy and positive vibe here make me feel excited to work for a company that is both ambitious and warm. It’s a place where employees are not just seen as resources but are genuinely valued, which makes a huge difference.
