Regardless what they say of labor laws, there is distinct discrimination of workers based on your country origins. Israelis gets preference in everything b) HR policies differs from person to person, project to project and group to group.HR and Immigration department- They are the most arrogant and not transparent at all. Internally they have exception for their own to grow themselves . Not a good employee facing division. c) Amdocs ratio of management to actual worker are skewed upside down. More managers than software engineers atleast on onshore . d) Company was product company at one point of time and now lost direction with nor here or there. Management style is product based (no bench policy etc) while client interaction and money is more on service based maintenance project. and senior to mid management does not want to evolve. e)Most of the mid management are clueless ,inept. They just enjoy the position they are in where they cannot do any customer interaction or know their own product properly. They will simply stay in limelight if going is good else put forward your face (experts and developers) if something not correct. They will not back you up nor fight for you as i guess they have to survive themselves. Worst spineless mid management. f) Employee welfare is least in the minds. No job security . instilled a sense of fear for all lower rungs and asking for more work else laid off. No value of loyalty . you will thrown out at drop of a hat. even if there is a demand in other areas , they will drop you but not put you on the project which has requirement and hiring. Really strange practice . f) terrible work life balance if you happen to be in a project with more managers than worker. g) Dont care of your level of technical expertise or expereince. Totally focussed on $ and that too not out in overall company revenues but your own little subgroup . I have been a high performer and acknowledged well by customer also , but at time of bonus , career growth and salary increment you would be left behind based on your immigration status / country of origin
