There are still a lot of brilliant engineers at Analog. They are very good at minimizing layoffs and cut backs. Very good 401(k)
Minpunten
Twenty years ago, Analog was the leader and other semis looked to what we were doing and imitated us. Now we are to scared to take calculated risks and be the leaders of the industry. We wait to see what everybody else is doing and get in line with them. (especially in regards to compensation) Not a lot of excitement. The type of personality that thrives at Analog is one that doesn't like change and just cares about getting a steady paycheck. They're willing to let their career be stagnant in exchange for that job security and steady paycheck.
