As with many remote clinical positions, success in this role requires strong self-management and organizational skills. Clinicians need to be comfortable managing their schedules, working independently, and staying proactive in communication. Being open to feedback and collaboration is also important, as much of the teamwork occurs virtually rather than in person.
Additionally, those who prefer frequent face-to-face interaction may find the lack of in-person client contact to be an adjustment. While telehealth offers tremendous flexibility and accessibility, it can feel different from building relationships through traditional in-person services.
