I'll make this as honest, clear and concise as I can. If you want to break into a Loss Control career Auto-Owners is just as good a place as any to do so. If you want to stay with a company for your entire career, you can do that with Auto-Owners. If you do stay, don't expect to do much meaningful work or to get rich - the work is bland and the pay is sub-par. If you want gain some skills/knowledge and use this as a springboard for your career, Auto-Owners is a fine place to do so. Constant tout of their benefits more than making up for salary but they don't (the vacation/personal time and benefit dollars for purchasing health, dental, life, etc. insurance are pretty good). Average raises are 2-3.5% (as of this writing, inflation sits at 5.25%). Management is also very poor - micromanaging and incompetent. Pay close attention to the other reviews and think long and hard about applying/accepting a job here. If you do accept one, know what you're getting into.
