Great culture and training. You’ll be made to feel like you’re valued and given opportunities to explore different departments if you wish. Pension is a nice perk if you plan to stay long term. There’s a concerted effort at making the company more diverse. Great place to start your career, or end it (pension), but if you stay too long you’ll become very stagnant career-wise.

Minpunten

Pay lags behind the industry, especially for software development. After 5 years I was making about $70k and left for more than twice that amount. Also the tech you work with is not industry standard and doesn’t transfer well. Wfh program was being cut back post covid which was sad to see as it worked so well at the time. It felt like they were trying to justify their new building that they broke ground on a month before the pandemic began. There’s also this weird groupthink that is pervasive that working anywhere else for more money will come with way worse hours and you’ll be miserable. This is quite the opposite of my admittedly anecdotal experience after leaving. The grass was truly greener.

Easy job to do if you’re halfway smart and actually try.

Minpunten

Low salary compared to other companies. Raise your concerns with this or anything else and management basically blackballs you for any opportunity for growth. You can do twice as much work as some of your co-workers and still get the same measly 3% annual raise. You’re better off coasting through the job rather than giving 100% effort. The harder you work, the more responsibilities they give you without any monetary compensation.
