Rebranded and relaunched 'culture': - you don't brand or launch a comapny's 'culture'. Culture is the heartbeat of how the company operates, how.peiple treat one another, how decisions are made, transparency, trust, psychological safety to have an opinion and being able to share it. None of that remains under the 'new' culture & current C-staff, sadly. C-staff leadership lacks the understanding of the decline in morale, the trust that's been broken, and the uncertainty and lack of confidence that now exists as a result of their tone-deaf and insensitive top down heavy handed messaging. Lack of trasparency & trust: - the lack of transparency & trust across the leadership levels of the company is astonishing. VPs, Sr. Directors & Directors are operating without guidance or knowledge of how to continually plan and evolve the business models specific to their business lines. C-staff is gaurding information and also speak of ensuing 'change' and more layoffs. That does nothing to instill confidence nor engagement. Perhaps that's their objective and if so it's disgraceful. They speak of sensitivity from their affluent isolation chambers while the work force is uncertain of the longevity of their jobs. Trust has been broken entirely as a result of their lack of empathy and lack of transparency. Toxicity is pervasive: - when your workforce spends more time looking over their shoulders in concern vs forward aligned to their jobs and their passions there's a problem. The culture is not what the C-staff so desparately believes it is. Culture is not a set of words and it's definitely not cemented thru monthly erratic all-hands with the CEO. Such ideology creates the toxic dynamic that now exists. I've noticed a dramatic shift in how people treat one another, the disrespect and disregard for people has increased, and the politics have rapidly elevated. All shocking and hard to palette as a people first leader. Psychological unsafe: - what was once a culture that encourage voices, creative solutioning, flat accessibility to senior leadership has now all become discouraged. C-staff is untouchable and even more unapproachable. That is their internal brand and they're in denial to it. Creative solutioning is suffocated under layers and layers of ineffective processes and multi-tiered and redundant approval processes. Leaders are not empowered with simple decision to keep the business agile. Such suffocation renders middle managers/leaders useless.

Pluspunten

This company is amazing! When you start you get a decent sized home office stipend but the on going benefits are great as well, including but not limited to a monthly WiFi reimbursement, a yearly wellness reimbursement, the option to work from a foreign country for up to a month a year, stock options, and much more! Aside from that, all the people I’ve worked with thus far are so easy to get along with and everyone truly pulls their weight.

Minpunten

Like any large company, there are occasional layoffs,

Pluspunten

The individual contributors, your peers you work with day in and day out are fantastic people! At the IC level, for the most part, it feels like everyone is in the fight together. The work/life balance is good depending on which business unit/team you're aligned with. The benefits are pretty solid, especially the 6 week sabbatical.

Minpunten

Autodesk moves at the pace of a snail, very slow to take action on anything. Selling is very difficult with all the undocumented approvals, processes, red tape and very few people are willing to actually help! Leadership doesn't care about the people their decisions impact. Feedback is rarely listened to and acted upon. Pay is terrible compared to competitors in this space. Autodesk has embraced a ton of change over the last few years with new marketing, sales and IT leadership and it shows. They are not shy in showing their desire to be the next Oracle at the expense of their people. They are constantly changing tools, processes, people, roles, you name it so you feel like you're under water constantly. Lipstick on a pig.
