Pluspunten

Many employees in customer service are able to work remotely. Reasonable food prices and delivery to areas over most of the U.S. where customers have little access to healthy food. The company mission and goals are worthy, but company falls far short of reaching them, at least as far as company culture goes.

Minpunten

No benefits offered when I worked there but currently offer so-so healthcare that employee pays quite a bit to get. No other benefits except 15% discount on food. Most office employees are obese and smoke...at a health food distributor!! Lots of gossip and backbiting and discontent in the office. Low pay for largely unskilled and somewhat illiterate employees (including family members who run the company). High turnover. Several key players (some who have been there many years) have been fired or quit in the past year. Office managers, both current and previous, tend to micromanage and play favorites. Tendency to hire and promote friends of the owner's family who know nothing about the business.

Pluspunten

It's an amazing environment with a loyal and dedicated team. You feel like you're a part of a family. It's a joy to come to work each day. Team members look out for each other.

Minpunten

I have nothing negative to say. No company is perfect, but everyone does their best to live by our core values and treat each other with respect and kindness. When we mess up, as we will because we're humans, we do our best to improve.

Pluspunten

None. Director of Distribution is inexperienced and threatened by employees who understand logistics

Minpunten

I cannot recommend this company based on my experience. The company promotes a culture of safety publicly, but I found that raising legitimate safety concerns was often met with resistance rather than collaboration. As a Compliance & Equipment Manager, I worked to address DOT, FMCSA, equipment, and operational safety issues. Instead of departments working together to resolve concerns, responsibilities were frequently shifted between teams, making it difficult to implement meaningful solutions. Communication between leadership was inconsistent, and employees who raised concerns were often made to feel like they were creating problems rather than helping solve them. I repeatedly attempted to work through the appropriate internal channels, including Employee Services, to address concerns regarding safety, communication, and workplace culture. Unfortunately, those efforts did not result in meaningful change. I ultimately left the company, was terminated, feeling that openness, transparency, and constructive feedback were not valued. My employment ended shortly after escalating my concerns, and the only reason I was given was that I was "unhappy." There are many hardworking employees who genuinely care about doing the right thing, especially the drivers and frontline staff. They deserve leadership that listens to concerns, encourages collaboration across departments, and supports employees who speak up about safety. Poor cross-department communication. Leadership discourages collaboration by creating silos. Safety concerns are not consistently addressed constructively. Employee concerns may be viewed as negativity instead of opportunities for improvement. Inconsistent leadership and lack of support for employees who raise concerns.
