Pluspunten

The team is fantastic. People make a real effort to help each other out, learn and share expertise. Most being a very positive attitude to work. Most managers are excellent to work with and are understanding and compassionate. Excellent health insurance options

Minpunten

-Salaries are embarrassing. -Highly experienced and talented employees kept at the same level although they are the ones training the higher levels. -Attrition rate is so high it’s hard to keep track of colleagues coming and going. -Years of reckless financial management put the org in a terrible situation. A new leadership team is taking too long to figure out and clearly communicate priorities. -Said new leadership is extremely US and EU-centric (so is the org historically) and has little racial diversity. -Significant layoffs (2023) conducted with lack of transparency, respect or compassion. These layoffs disproportionately affected people of color. -No prospects for promotions or relevant salary increases. In 2022 and 2023 the maximum increase was 2.5%. -Zero room for salary negotiation. Both at hiring or at the ocasional promotion. -Increasing number of controversy about certified B Corps is harming the certification’s rep.

Pluspunten

* Lots of intelligent and friendly people to work with on the lower-mid level. * Relatively decent flexibility when it comes to work schedule.

Minpunten

Everything B Lab assesses companies for, they fail at miserably. 1. Company lacks any real form of transparency, especially when it comes to salary and upwards movement. 2. Upper management seems to have maintained some level of racist sentiment for years now, unclear why. But if you aren't white, you will always be passed over for promotions or first selected for layoffs. This has been an ongoing theme. 3. Company pays WAY under market rate. There are no bonuses, and benefits are a joke. Good luck ever getting a legitimate raise regardless of how you perform. Despite this, upper-management still is making significantly more with very little transparency as to why. Pay cuts at the top level should have been how how this financial crisis was handled, especially since it was due to mismanaging funds for years. 4. Company has been bleeding out money for time now and it shows. This is frustrating as they always maintain a front of "everything is fine". Job security is a constant concern, as you are consistently waiting for the next round of layoffs due to running out of money. 5. They don't even stand for anything anymore. 5-6 years ago you could feel the passion of the company, in the way they spoke, how they actually believed in what they were doing. Sure it was a company and they had to find a balance, but they actually tried. Now they don't care and the standards for certification have dropped to the point that is meaningless. Now it's just about catering to companies that will give the most money. Which is a great short term solution for getting money, but will eventually dilute the B Lab brand and result in even less companies being interested in getting certified. 6. They don't listen....at all. Constant surveys of "What are we doing wrong? What could we be doing better" only to not take any of the advice and keep doing the same thing. It honestly seems like they are just sent out to make people FEEL like they are doing something.
