BASF has a dirty secret. 91% of its executives in the US are caucasian, 3% Asian, and 3% AA. BASF has been strongly pushing diversity in manufacturing and increasing diversity in the manufacturing VPs. However, diversity in BASF manufacturing means caucasian women only. That measily 3% Asian and 3% AA representation is on the business side. The manufacturing side has almost no POC in the executives. If you are Asian or AA in manufacturing and desire to be an executive, then BASF is not a fit for you. If you are male and a POC in manufacturing then you will not become an executive at BASF. I hope one day BASF proves me wrong, but so far they have made it very clear through their actions that diversity in BASF manufacturing = caucasian women only.
