Pluspunten
The birdy app is good, it tells you what tasks to complete and the notes are faily up to date, there are times where the notes are duplicated i.e it might list medications twice but it's not really a problem. Out hours carers are always on the line to take your calls and queriries and they seem to give good advice at the time. If you see something that doesn't sit right you can raise a concern, this could be about bruises, pressure sores or concerns around abuse etc - this gives you peace of mind because you know you have reported it! They generally leave you alone when out on the roads and if you're sticking to time. They actually keep you on the same runs, this makes it easier for you to pick up the work and stick to time. Everytime I want a shift there is usally shifts availble however I don't ask for much hours,
Minpunten
Lets say I am scheduled for 6 hours, this is how much I will get paid, however it is deceptive because you will actually be out of the house for 8 hours and won't be paid for the extra two hours. There is no travel time inbetween visits however you are expected to only stay 75% of your time, therefore the other 15% of that persons time is dedicated to getting to your next visit. Sometimes they are smart and will give you a gap to catch up on. They pay you a pound per visit in contribtion to petrol - sometimes this works in your favour and other times it doesn because it depends on the distance.
