There are some very good people here. It will get your foot in the IT door. Starting pay is adequate. Generous PTO policy. End of the day this is a job, you go to work, they give you pay. If you want or expect nothing more it's a perfectly fine place to work.
Minpunten
No review policy for employees at all. This goes hand in hand with no policy for raises, they state that there has been an increase in pay the last twelve months but it has also been clearly stated , by management, that this was to bring our base rate in line with the market around us and there have been no individual performance or cost of living raises for any L1 employee in almost two years.. They say there is work from home ability but it is repeatedly stressed that this is ONLY a privilege and is not applied equally across the company. Some employees have had it for months and only come in occasionally, some teams are only allowed it at the whim of their team leaders and have it used as a control tool rather than a potential benefit for employee retention in lieu of things like raises. Management will claim that you are a valued employee however, they will ignore efforts to make them aware of problems or ideas for improvement, ie "management knows best, your experiences and skills are of nominal value, be quiet and do as your told" attitude. Employee retention is NOT valued and training is sub-par with little to no follow up for improvement. The general feeling is that employees are valued only insomuch as they are voices to answer the phone, not as a resource to be valued and considered in decision making. End of the day this is a job, you go to work, they give you pay. However, if you are someone that wants to advance, that wants to feel valued, that wants to build and improve on skills as they gain them, and wants to be involved in fixing issues do not plan on any longer than 6-12 months here and then use the reference to move on, you'll be better for it. There was a brief period where it seemed management was making a real effort but it has halted completely and in some ways has begun to backslide into a negative work experience.
