High political risk in California severely, and negatively, impacting the business. Wrong strategic focus… now it is simply too late. Poor communication among management ranks, with serious detrimental behavior to the business observed such as middle management concealing the true state of affairs from the executives for her political gain. Costly assets to operate. Increasingly challenging to keep costs within a reasonable range due to the exponential GHG penalties among others. Technical expertise is almost gone as most professionals with good experience and marketable skills jumped ship. Now the company is realizing the criticality of those skills and talent for continued operations. Oops. Stranded assets in California with probably only one potential buyer going forward who, by now, is in a position to be able to offer cents on the dollar.
