Very few. The product. The product has potential, that is true. That's not enough to outweigh the current employee experience though.

Minpunten

Too many to name. Leadership lacks consistency and transparency. You never know what's going to happen. Expectations and execution strategy change too frequently, communication is non existent, and employees are often left guessing about priorities. For example, the sales team was told of major changes only because the best rep at the company was leaving due to constant changes, and they feared him leaking this information to the sales team. The culture feels reactive rather than supportive, and there is little confidence from everyone that performance metrics will ever be hit. Leadership knows this, and have made cuts to shift more accounts to people, however, this has not worked. They throw out random enablement courses to try to teach people how to sell, but the the enablement team only sold a couple quarters here. The leading manager who tries to overly teach was a great SDR, not AE so nobody really pays attention to him. Calling more is not a way to better prospect. Morale has suffered with constant turnover and a lack of trust in management decisions. Rather than investing in employees for long term success, the environment feels focused on short term results at the expense of people. I am actively in interview rounds seeking my way to a company who truly values their team, as our the majority of the sales team where this isn't your first job. I would not recommend BuildOps to anyone looking for stability, strong leadership, or a healthy workplace culture.

Pluspunten

The office culture is incredible. Bouncing ideas off each other, feeling the excitement of wins together, and brainstorming how to be more efficient and effective in a live space while being able to also work remotely 2 days a week helps work/life balance.

Minpunten

Typical startup turnover and changes to be expected if you are used to this it’s just riding the waves out.

Pluspunten

There are definitely talented and hardworking people across the organization, and the office environment has fostered a strong sense of connection among employees. A lot of those relationships seem to have formed through navigating the toxic unpredictability of the company together. Compensation incentives, including bonuses, have been nice, and the period of rapid growth last year created a genuinely energizing atmosphere. The company’s mission and customer impact also contributed to a sense of purpose and motivation for many employees. Additionally, the investment in office spaces and in-person collaboration was nice.

Minpunten

The organization has experienced repeated restructuring over a relatively short period, including multiple rounds of layoffs and significant employee turnover. The pace of departures across teams has created MAJOR concerns about long-term stability and leadership direction. There also appears to be a noticeable lack of diversity across the company, particularly in female representation. From a market perspective, the company’s competitive advantage seems less differentiated than it once was. Innovation has slowed, and many competitors are close or already offering similar function, making it harder to see a strong forward-looking vision for the business.
