Pluspunten
The Director has a talent for recruiting instructors and staff who are humble and dedicated, and of creating an extremely positive work culture where employee initiative is nurtured. Byte Academy also opens its doors much more to the greater NYC software community than most other companies. Overall, I recommend working at Byte Academy for someone who is down-to-earth, patient, interested in education, and appreciates a work environment with unusually wide-open space for self-direction.
Minpunten
Turnover is not particularly high for a young company in the industry, but when it happens, teams are left understaffed for too long. Their workload is increased and quality of work can suffer. Pay is on the low end for NYC. The office space needs more privacy and amenities.
