Pluspunten
Leadership team members are humble with low egos and are truly accessible on Teams or in-person anytime. Most people work from home but the Leadership team and others come into the Chapel Hill office (which has free snacks and drinks) on Tuesdays so you can meet with them in-person if you're local. CEO has been with the company since its start. He has an engineering background and will happily sit down with you to "geek out" on solving a coding issue, tech support ticket, or to innovate on code for new features when he gets the chance. Many of my coworkers have been here 5+ years, some more than 10 and are willing to share their knowledge with anyone that's interested, not just with their own team. Technology is innovative and we have lots to do, but my team and I like each other and what we do which makes it really enjoyable to work here. CData just won Inc. Best Workplaces for 2024 which is cool since it's based on responses from an engagement survey that we each submitted. Management is very supportive of work/life balance for themselves and their team members. Since the company isn't huge, you get the chance to work on lots of different projects and wear a lot of hats vs other companies where you have to stay in your lane or get multiple levels of approval to do something new. I appreciate the recognition from my manager and coworkers and that people get promoted here because they take the initiative and work hard vs who they know or are friends with. I know I have the opportunity to move into other roles and have my manager's support. There's accountability for your work and you're expected to meet deadlines, but they are realistic and not high pressure.
Minpunten
The company isn't perfect, no company is. Having just acquired another company a few months ago, there's some integration that still needs to happen, but I appreciate how thoughtful they're being and not forcing immediate changes. New CRO has changes to Sales processes, but they seem to be going well so far.
