I have worked at Canada Create for 3 months as a Graphic Designer, and I can describe my experience as a solid start to understand what I want to do with my future. - This place has nice people, friendly environment. - I got a couple of interesting projects and tough but really useful experience. - CEO is really friendly and always open for a conversation. - I asked CEO to cover my travel expenses because I was travelling from GTA and he did. - Got great recommendations after, which helped me to find a paid fulltime job.

Minpunten

- Unpaid position, which is a fact, not a problem. I am assured that only a stupid person applies for an unpaid internship and starts to complain about that after being hired. - Chaotic environment. It is complicated sometimes to understand what your task is. However, you are getting used to it and learn how to adapt. - If you make a mistake or fail to do your project on time, you will not get easy away with that. - Mentally difficult because of tight deadlines.

Personally, the overall atmosphere among the interns and the staff but also at the workplace was pretty good and fun ! ( get together to relax with cake, pop corn, joking together, lunch break at restaurants ...) As for the tasks, I learnt a lot from it. I won't lie that sometimes, I felt a bit overwhelmed, however, as time went by, I got used to it and rather than being a burden, these tasks were like challenges. This internship helped me develop professional traits like being a "challenger" ,being independent and be a quick-thinker whenever there was an emergency. As for personal traits it would be not to give up. ( Sometimes, I had a hard time finding a solution to a strategy but after thinking for a while I eventually found an answer).

One of the cons is that, sometimes projects can be a bit disorganized. However, the Canada Create staff is willing to improve it. Another cons is that the transportation fees were not paid...
